Thers is something aout a finely detailed warbird and watch it fly just like the real thing. Building and flying scale planes take alot of time and patience. Scale builders usually use a kit or scratch build. Some scale guys buy ARFS and enjoy the plane that way. In scale the builder tries to replicate a certain model and fly the model just the way it should be, as realistic as possible. Scale planes do not have to ne warbirds. they can be vintage pleasure planes. passenger planes. experimental planes and of course warbirds. Theres nothing like a fire breathing P-51 flying by like it was getting ready for combat. There are some high quality kits and ARFs out there to buy just like there are plenty of high quality plans to buy for scratch building.
